FAQs

EVERYTHING IS SOLD OUT, HOW CAN I BUY A MUG?

There are two ways to buy my mugs:

1. MUG DROP

I make a batch of mugs, create the designs, glaze them and then announce the date and time they’ll be available on my website. This will be via posts and also in my profile. My hope is to do monthly mug drops.

2. PRE-ORDER CUSTOM MUG
I will randomly release openings on my website for you to buy a mug which is made to order. It takes up to eight weeks for them to be made but you can choose your own message or ask for a previous design to be made for you.

Pros and cons:

Mug drop - You get to see the mug before buying and once you’ve bought it it’ll be shipped within 7-10 days. You’ll know exactly when they’re available and can set your alarm. However, some designs are popular so it’s fastest finger first.

Pre-order custom mug - You get to choose your own text, the mug is made specifically for you from scratch. You don’t get to see it beforehand and the glaze colours cannot be requested so it will be random. It takes time, up to eight weeks, before it gets shipped. There will not be announced times or dates for openings of pre-orders. I’ll add them randomly onto the website so if you take a look and they’re there you can go ahead and place your order but if they’re sold out you’ll need to keep checking.

I want my own message, do you do custom or personalised orders?

Yes, please use the custom order, see the previous Q&A for details about how to order.

How long do custom orders take?

Up to 8 weeks. It is likely to be less than this but a custom order will be included in a batch, each batch has to be made, dried, bisque fired, glazed and then glazed fired. It’s a slow process which is why it can take so long for custom orders to be ready

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes. Shipping costs £5 on all UK orders but if you want to ship to another country this will be significantly higher and any customs charges will need to be paid by you. ROI is approximately £15, USA, Canada, Australia and NZ are approximately £30.

Do you do wholesale?

Sorry no.

Why are they wonky?

Each mug is carefully made using just my hands, they are not thrown on a potter’s wheel. This means fingers marks and wonky shapes and edges are part of their character. I believe this adds to their charm, they are unmistakably handcrafted.

Why so sweary?

Because I am a person who loves a good profanity and I wanted to create something beautiful with my favourite swear words or phrases and celebrate them unashamedly. Plus I hope they make people laugh too.

Are your items microwave or dishwasher safe?

Yes they are but, due to their handmade nature, they are not as robust as mass produced factory ceramics so I would recommend hand washing instead.

Where do you make them?

From my home in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Who is Natalie? I see you talk about her on social media.

Natalie is my dear friend who I lost to cancer in 2015. She and I shared a love of swearing, I make these ceramics for her, the gift I never got to give her. She would have LOVED them.
